It will be a beautiful end of summer!
On the eve of the calendar autumn, we invite you to a screening of one of the most beautiful films of recent years, which, like no other, celebrates summer in all its complex intensity.
About the film:
Northern Italy, summer of 1983. Elio Perlman, a brilliant seventeen-year-old of American-Italian descent, spends his vacation in a 17th-century villa, composing and playing classical music, reading, and flirting with his friend – Marzia. He enjoys every moment spent in the villa, especially since he has his father, a respected professor specializing in Greco-Roman culture, and his mother Annella, a translator who teaches him to savor the culture and nature of Italy. Elio's upbringing, education, and talent give the impression that he is an adult, a fully formed man, yet there are many things he still has to learn – especially in the area that is foreign to him so far – love. One day, Oliver, a young American scholarship student, arrives at the villa, working with Elio's father on his doctorate. In the stunningly beautiful landscapes of sun-drenched Italy, Elio and Oliver discover the intoxicating power of mutual attraction. They will remember this summer forever.
