The KIM Recreation Promotion Foundation invites you to participate in an original workshop. The program has been designed to enable participants to acquire knowledge and skills in dealing with injured/sick individuals during kayaking trips of various types and durations (from a few hours to long expeditions), taking place in different seasons and weather conditions.
The workshops comply with the current standards of the European Resuscitation Council. They include activities primarily focused on practice.
We provide modern training equipment: resuscitation manikins, training Automatic External Defibrillator, a set of simulated wounds, artificial blood, limb immobilization equipment.
Program of the 8-hour workshop:
1. First aid kits
2. Personal safety
3. Ways to call for help and cooperation with rescue services: WOPR/ambulance/LPR (receiving a helicopter)
4. Dealing with an unconscious injured person:
- cardiopulmonary resuscitation in hard-to-reach areas
- resuscitation using AED from the dock
- recovery position
5. Injuries and traumas in kayaking:
- bleeding,
- eye injuries,
- crush injuries,
- sprains, dislocations,
- fractures,
- head injuries,
- spinal injuries
6. Environmental hazards:
– drowning,
- overheating, heat stroke,
- hypothermia,
- burns (sunburn, scalds, flames),
- lightning strike,
- snake bite,
- tick bite,
- dog bite
7. Selected health and life-threatening conditions:
– allergic reactions,
- shock,
- hypoglycemia,
- exhaustion,
- dehydration,
- choking,
- seizures
8. Basics regarding serious illnesses - procedures in:
- heart attack,
- stroke,
- asthma attack
9. Selected methods of transporting the injured
10. Current legal basis for providing first aid.
For those interested, there is an option to extend the training by an additional 8 hours. Since the program on the first day of the workshop is intensive, we encourage participation in field activities. They will allow practicing newly acquired skills and consolidating the knowledge gained.
Price: 330 PLN per person for 8 hours. Additional training day - price depends on the number of interested participants.

Trained over 90,000 people, preparing among others for expeditions to Greenland, the Himalayas, diving instructors. Outside Poland, she also conducted courses for airlines in the Czech Republic and Romania, medical training before expeditions in the Himalayas in the Slovak Tatras, humanitarian projects in Kenya, Ethiopia, Lebanon, and Nepal.
She has spent half her life in a kayak on rivers, lakes, as well as seas
and mountain rivers.
