Annual training intended for actively practicing psychotherapists.

The course includes a series of lectures and supervision. Each meeting will consist of a lecture part and a supervision part. The lecture part will discuss mental disorders in children and adolescents according to the ICD-11 classification. The basics of diagnosis, prevalence, course, and treatment will be presented, taking into account various therapy models. In the supervision part, course participants will be able to present excerpts of their own work.

The course is led by Dr. Cezary Żechowski,

a psychiatrist and psychotherapist for children, adolescents, adults, and families, a member of, among others, the Institute of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, the Polish Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, the Scientific Society of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, the International Society of Family and Couple Psychoanalysis, the International Neuropsychoanalytic Society, and the European Society for Personality Disorder Research.

He currently heads the Community Mental Health Center for Children and Adolescents at Wolski Hospital in Warsaw, and is the head of the psychiatric rehabilitation department for adolescents.

A lecturer at, among others, the University of Warsaw, the Jagiellonian University Medical College, SWPS, UKSW, and Lazarski University. Author of numerous publications in the field of psychiatry and psychotherapy for children and adolescents.

A two-time recipient of the Professor Stefan Leder Award for outstanding achievements in psychotherapy awarded by the Polish Psychiatric Association.

Research interests – neuroaffective foundations of personality, attachment theory, psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, dialogical practices, community psychiatry.

September — Introduction to the psychopathology of children and adolescents.
October — Neurodevelopmental disorders part I. Neurodiversity. Autism spectrum disorders.
November — Neurodevelopmental disorders part II. ADHD.
December — Neurodevelopmental disorders part III. Speech and language disorders, developmental learning disorders, developmental motor disorders, etc.
January — Schizophrenia and developmental age psychoses,

Summer semester 2025
February — Affective disorders of developmental age,
March — Anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, dissociative disorder,
April — Feeding and eating disorders, disorders related to the experience of one's own body,
May — Attachment disorders,
June — Elimination disorders, tics, Tourette syndrome, selective mutism,
The course ends with a certificate of participation, which requires the completion of 24 hours of the course.
We meet every second Saturday of the month from 10:30 AM to 1:45 PM with a 15-minute break.
For 10 months starting from September 14, 2024, to June 14, 2025/(1 lecture per month from September to June).
The price for the cycle is 3300 PLN. Payable in 2 installments.
