Bombino is returning to Poland, bringing with him the very best of his music – his masterful guitar playing and the hypnotic sounds of Saharan Desert Blues. Join us for an unforgettable evening with the acclaimed guitarist and singer-songwriter from Niger.
This autumn, Bombino and his band will perform three exclusive concerts as part of the African Beats concert series:
Born Omara Moctar in 1980, Bombino began teaching himself guitar as a young boy and has since become one of the world's most celebrated African guitarists. Often described as the "Sultan of Shred" or a master of Desert Blues, his music blends traditional Tuareg melodies with the influences of rock and blues.
Bombino gained international recognition with albums such as Nomad (2013), produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. His 2016 release Azel expanded his signature sound by incorporating reggae influences alongside his rich Tuareg musical heritage. He also became the first artist from Niger to chart on the Billboard World Music chart.
Deeply rooted in Tuareg culture, Bombino's songs often explore themes of peace, love, freedom, and cultural identity. He has performed at some of the world's most renowned festivals, including Coachella and Glastonbury, and has established himself as one of the leading ambassadors of contemporary African music. Through his performances, Bombino not only captivates audiences but also celebrates and preserves the rich cultural heritage of the Tuareg people.
During his November shows in Poland, audiences can expect the finest selection of songs.
