With the growing global population, are we destined to rely on industrially produced food, synthetic fertilizers, and chemical pesticides? Is organic farming and food production destined to remain a small niche only for the wealthiest or for farmers and their families? And what about public spaces such as schools and hospitals—could they provide healthy products, vegetables, fruits, or dairy with the “EU Organic” label? During this meeting, we will explore these questions. We will also reflect on what we can do to bring organic products more often to our tables and why this is important not only for our health but also for the future of our planet. 🍎 During the event, we will serve snacks from Kooperatywa Dobrze, a Warsaw-based food cooperative and social initiative. Since 2013, Kooperatywa has provided residents with access to healthy, local, and seasonal food directly from organic farmers. 👩‍🏫 Ewa Sufin-Jacquemart – President of the Green Zone Foundation and co-founder of the Living Earth Coalition; member of the Board of the Green European Foundation (GEF) and the Women’s Congress Association (coordinating the Green Center of the Women’s Congress). Grójecka 75 (behind the OKO building) 🎟️ Free entry ♿ ACCESSIBILITY Zielone OKO is located in a former vegetable kiosk just behind the main OKO building. There is a mobile ramp for wheelchair access. Please bring warmer clothing as the kiosk is not heated. Hot tea will be served during the event. We talk, plant, repair, and discover how to care for nature in the city. Upcoming activities include workshops, walks, micro-events, and meetings with experts—all aimed at exploring local nature, biodiversity, and how we can act smarter, slower, and more responsibly.
