ROYBER TRIO

ROYBER! was created by Mikołaj Trzaska, Macio Moretti and Olo Walicki in October 2020. They began with Mikołaj’s film music, written for the films of W. Smarzowski. The trio gradually became a turning point for each musician — a safe space, a table where they share impressions gained during numerous journeys through the outskirts and backroads of reality. They invite audiences to concerts, taking them on a trip through the byways where they feel best. They are currently awaiting the release of their four debut albums.

Royber Trio — film music. The repertoire will include themes from Wojciech Smarzowski’s films ("The Dark House", "Rose", "Clergy", "Volhynia") and from Paweł Maślona’s new production "Kos". Mikołaj Trzaska’s film music, performed live, takes on a new expression.

• Mikołaj Trzaska — saxophonist, bass clarinetist, film music composer. He studied at the Gdańsk Academy of Fine Arts. He collaborated with Wojciech Smarzowski; he composed music for films such as The Dark House, Rose, Volhynia, Pod Mocnym Aniołem, Clergy, Wesele II, Dom Dobry and "Kos". He is one of the most respected representatives of the jazz avant-garde in Poland, has performed on many international stages and received numerous awards (including Eagles and the Grand Prix of the Krzysztof Komeda Film Festival).



• Macio Moretti — musician, graphic artist, filmmaker. Musically active since 1991; he has played hundreds of concerts in many countries, performed at numerous festivals, recorded many albums and designed covers and posters.



• Olo Walicki — double bassist, composer and producer. Creator of projects OW Kaszebe, The Saintbox and others; he plays improvised music, composes for theater and film, has collaborated with many artists and participated in the recording of dozens of albums.
