Concert: AMIROVA TRIO and Iwona Karcz-Wojnarowska – where tradition meets jazz!

We invite you to a concert by Amirova Trio with guest vocalist Iwona Karcz-Wojnarowska. Expect a journey through traditional songs from Poland and Ukraine presented in a modern jazz sound. This continues the debut album ROOTS by Amirova Trio, and the presence of the vocalist introduces a new dynamic to the trio.

About the band:

The jazz band Amirova Trio was formed in 2018 at the Academy of Music in Kraków. The lineup includes pianist Julia Amirova, double bassist Mikołaj Sikora and drummer Patryk Gajda. The trio quickly gained recognition, including being listed among the winners of the Partnerstwo dla Muzyki 2.0 competition (4th edition) and winning 3rd prize at the International Mikołajki Folkowe Festival (30th edition).

About Iwona Karcz-Wojnarowska:

A vocalist associated with the bands Teresa Mirga i Kałe Bała, Art Color Ballet, Wataha Drums and Żmij, with experience in theatrical projects as well. Winner of the Anna Kiełbusiewicz Award at the 30th International Folk Music Festival “Mikołajki Folkowe” in 2020.
