Powązki Cemetery is one of the oldest active necropolises in Warsaw. It is a place where, by stopping at the graves of city presidents, artists, industrialists, or social activists, we can encounter not only the history of Warsaw but of all Poland. During the walk, we will go back to past events and visit the resting places of people who are often forgotten today. We will also pass the graves of people who were recently seen on TV screens or the front pages of newspapers: Czesław Niemen, Gustaw Holoubek, Andrzej Kopiczyński, Jerzy Waldorff, Violetta Villas, Danuta Rinn, Zdzisław Maklakiewicz, Wiesław Gołas, as well as those still alive through their works: Władysław Reymont, Stanisław Moniuszko, Krzysztof Kieślowski, and many others. ➡️ Do you know the name of the man so determined to pursue an acting career that he abandoned his law practice to walk from Lviv to Warsaw?
