We invite you to the series of meetings “Conversations about Culture.” These will be lectures organized for everyone who wants to expand their knowledge of culture, art and heritage in an accessible, inspiring form. The meetings are led by enthusiasts, experts, lecturers and cultural practitioners who can explain complex phenomena in an interesting and understandable way. The meetings will also be a space for exchanging views and opinions.

Topic of the next meeting:

“Art therapy as a dialogue with art and with oneself”

A meeting dedicated to the therapeutic power of art. It will begin with a lecture presenting the main assumptions of contemporary art therapy, which will serve as the basis for further discussion. We expect active participation in the conversation and an exchange of observations concerning individual encounters with various forms of artistic expression.

Program of the meeting:

• Module 1: an introductory lecture on the principles of art therapy.
• Module 2: experiential part — working with imagination through a guided visualization technique; participants will be invited to create imaginative characters in plastic or literary form.
• Finale: an improvised gallery of works, enabling a look at one’s own and others’ creations from the perspective of an observer and an empathic critic.

The meeting will be led by – Katarzyna Jakóbik Art therapist and recreational movement instructor. She runs classes in pilates, laughter yoga, circle dances and nordic walking. She has been holding the Women’s Circle in Włochy since 2019.
