Swiss BØLZER will release their first full-length album of the decade—and only their second ever—in 2026. In March, the duo will perform three concerts in Poland, accompanied by black metal band Misthyrming, American Vitriol, and industrial dark ambient Trepaneringsritualen. Born in 2008 from a deep understanding between Fabian Wyrsch and Okoi Jones, BØLZER first made a name for themselves in the underground as a band capable of producing a powerful sound with a ten-string guitar and ritualistic drumming. They confirmed this reputation and gained even more recognition with the EPs “Aura” and “Soma,” followed by the album “Hero,” all of which can be considered among the most original metal releases of the second decade of the 21st century. The duo itself is hard not to call unique—with a clear vision and considerable creative resources. Next year, BØLZER will share their long-awaited second album, to be released on their own label, “Lightning & Sons.” Misthyrming is the most important Icelandic black metal band of the last decade. They debuted in 2015 with the album “Söngvar elds og óreiðu,” then followed up with the equally well-received “Algleymi” and “Með hamri.” With each release, the band strengthened their position on the international scene, and today their name cannot be ignored. Coldness, madness, and isolation—you’ll hear it all in their music. Vitriol, led by Kyle Rasmussen, specializes in technical death metal. They debuted in 2017 with the EP “Pain Will Define Their Death,” and in the following years, under Century Media, released two albums: “To Bathe from the Throat of Cowardice” (2019) and “Suffer & Become” last year. Founded in 2008 in Gothenburg by Thomas Martin Ekelund, Trepaneringsritualen combines slow, heavy, and brutal sounds in a ritual industrial atmosphere with elements of power electronics.
