    About the event

Join a Literary Walk along one of the oldest streets of the city center — Wilcza. The street changed over the centuries from a country road into a lively artery lined with tenement houses. Some of them survived; in place of others there is postwar construction. Importantly, many buildings are connected with interesting literary stories.

    • in which house there is a ghost,
    • what Prus’s last moments looked like,
    • why characters from Miłoszewski’s books often appear on Wilcza,
    • where the hit “Złoty pierścionek” was created,
    • which bar (located where the author studied) was sent to the book’s protagonists by the writer,
    • how a book bought on this street influenced Tadeusz Różewicz’s life choices
    • and many other stories.
