Watercolor Workshop with Maria Sosnowska

Level: for beginners

I invite you to a special weekend watercolor painting workshop for beginners.

What you'll learn:

• creating space in landscapes using layers
• basics of working with water and watercolor paints
• painting "wet into wet"
• painting and using the color wheel

I will explain which tools are best to use and why. Where you can save money and where it's better to spend more for greater comfort while working.

Most of the time we will spend learning realistic painting (close to magical realism); based on photographs we will focus on conveying mood. It is important to slowly control what happens on the paper and skillfully transfer the vision from your head to the paper.

People who have never had contact with art and want to start their adventure are welcome. This is a good moment to take the first steps in a friendly atmosphere and under the supervision of a professional, and to ask for help at every stage of the work.

In the workshop you will gain experience for independent work and further development.

We will paint two subjects on two different cotton papers:

• Saturday — clouds on Hahnemuhle paper, which lets the paint flow more.
• Sunday — forest on Saunders Waterford paper, which is more precise.

• 1 day — 300 zł (without materials)
• 1 day — 350 zł (with materials)
• 2 days — 550 zł (without materials)
• 2 days — 600 zł (with materials)

Paper is provided by the instructor.

We work in small groups, which allows for an individual approach.
