    About the event

I invite you to a walk dedicated to the 'Gray Ranks' — participants in diversionary actions who left behind many memories.

    📅
Saturday, 14 February 2026 at 15:00 — we meet by the Nicolaus Copernicus monument. The walk is planned to last about 105 minutes.

During the walk I will tell about the activities and actions against the occupier. We will also learn:

    • Where 'Alek' pretended to be drunk and who was arrested because of that?
    • What happened after the Action at Copernicus?
    • What did Alek's leave look like in occupied Warsaw?
    • Where was the 'German brothel' where a wedding ceremony took place?
    • Which action is considered the loudest during the occupation?
    • Which unit was regarded as the bravest and why?
    • What did 'Rudy' do at Zachęta?
    • Where was help given to 'people burned in the city'?
    • Where was it 'light one evening'?
    • What happened in the area of Theatre Square?
    • What is located in the courtyard of the Jabłonowski Palace?
    • Which action of the Warsaw underground was the largest?
    • Where was the 'Malta Hospital' located?
    • From which place did 'Orsza' start the Action at the Arsenal?
    • and many others.

    💸
There is no fee to participate in the walk; however, if you feel the guide deserves a tip, it will be gladly accepted.

The walk will be led by a city guide from Warszawski Zaułek. You are warmly invited and see you there.
