Wodniackie Cleanup on the Vistula is a series of five unforgettable cruises aboard traditional Vistula boats. During the expedition, we will collect plastic, metal, and glass waste – all those that, lying on the banks and shallows of the Vistula, hurt us the most. ✨ Cruise dates: - 23.XI - 30.XI - 7.XII - 14.XII - 21.XII ⏰ Duration of cruises: minimum 3 hours, starting around 10:00 am 📍 Location: we will start and finish in different locations each time, cleaning a different section of the river, and we will also visit the Żerański Port. 👥 For whom: everyone who cares about the cleanliness of the Vistula. 🚤 The third expedition (7.XII) departs from Żerański Port. Meeting at the TWDW club headquarters at 11:30 am. Autumn is a period of reduced plant vegetation. We use it to act and take care of our favorite places, which are often littered. Our ally is the river's dynamics, which during low water periods exposes all the waste in bends and backwaters. The guide and guardian of the expedition is Piotr Sadurski – photographer, archaeologist, ethnologist, and a true river man. This season, the commander of the action will also be a man of the Vistula – Adam Hamerlik, who is the originator and founder of Szkutnia po Godzinach – a place where, together with his team, he not only builds traditional boats but also shows how they are made, from the first plank to launching. He is a laureate of the Friendly Shore Award for educational activities and for implementing a thoughtful plan to revive old yachts with soul. We act together.
