MENDING FOR THE BETTER
This is an opportunity to finish started sewing projects and expand your sewing skills. There will be time to get comfortable working with the indispensable sewing machine. Classes are intended for everyone, from beginner to advanced level.
Amid the fast fashion trend, piles of discarded textiles in many wardrobes are growing. Try looking at your “unwanted” clothes and other textiles in a new way — take them out of the wardrobe and bring them with you. It’s the best and simplest way to start learning to recognize fabric properties, because upcycling is fun and educational.
Through these workshops you will discover the exciting variety of possibilities that sewing skills bring to creating beautiful and functional items. During the classes you will learn the basics of the tailoring craft and correct handling of the sewing machine and equipment.
Getting there:
- Nearest stop: Rydygiera (buses) – approx. 2 min on foot, or Plac Grunwaldzki (trams, buses) – approx. 4 min on foot
- Flat approach, along the pavement; in front of CLŻ the path is straight with small gravel
- Available parking spaces along Rydygiera Street, including a space for people with disabilities
- There is a ToTuPoint marker on the Centrum Lokalnego Żoliborz building
