She completed an internship at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) in Munich in internal medicine. Between 2003-2007, she completed a residency in veterinary dermatology at the European College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD) at a private veterinary clinic in Birkenfeld under the supervision of Dr. Hans-Joachim Koch, Dr. Stephanie Peters, and in collaboration with LMU Munich (Dr. Sonya Bettenay and Prof. Ralf S. Müller). In 2009, after successfully passing exams, she received the title of ECVD board-certified dermatologist. In 2009, she founded a specialist clinic in Bratislava, and in 2010, she also worked in Prague at the JAGGY Clinic. In 2009, she actively participated in establishing Laboklin in Slovakia, and a year later in the Czech Republic, and she remains active in both laboratories in veterinary dermatology and allergy consultations. Since 2010, she has been working at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna at the Small Animal Clinic as a clinical dermatologist and clinical researcher, and after supervising three doctoral students, she is currently supervising a second resident within ECVD. Regarding clinical research, she focuses mainly on ear diseases and comparative allergy, since 2012 in collaboration with the Department of Comparative Medicine at the Messerli Institute VetmedUNI in Vienna. Dr. Lucia Panáková is a board member of the European Society of Veterinary Dermatology. Since 2010, she has regularly and enthusiastically lectured for veterinarians both in Europe and Asia. Who is this course for? - For every veterinarian who wants to treat external and middle ear infections in dogs and cats according to the highest standards. - This will not be a boring course - every otological problem will be discussed through specific cases, and each case will be presented from the start of the examination to diagnosis with treatment protocols discussed. - During the course, all otological procedures will be presented live - how to perform a myringotomy, how to flush ear canals, how to remove wax plugs or inflammatory polyps or proliferative changes - participants will observe the presented procedures on a live ear canal model. - If you regularly see patients with ear canal inflammation and the problem recurs, this course is for you. - If you want to properly perform otological examinations and all procedures in the external ear canal, this course is for you. - Would you like to properly diagnose and treat otitis media in dogs and cats? You will learn this on this course as well. The course is conducted in English and consecutively translated into Polish by a veterinarian specializing in dermatology. The course cost includes coffee breaks and lunch.
