Portrait, self-portrait, caricature in the sounds of music
During the music therapy workshop we will listen to pieces in which composers musically portray other creators — sometimes with humor and in a distorted mirror. We will reach, among others, for Witold Lutosławski's Variations on a Theme of Paganini and Sergei Prokofiev's Classical Symphony. We will create our own variations on the melody "Panie Janie", developing imagination, creativity and the joy of making music together.
📅 Date:
February 26, 12:00
⏳ Duration:
approx. 60 minutes
📍 Meeting place:
Main Building of the National Museum in Warsaw, Educational Space by the Gallery of Medieval Art
There is no need to convince regular senior visitors of MNW programs that art can heal. Sessions in which we engage with music and images help to maintain intellectual and physical fitness. Time spent together is not only an opportunity to listen, but also to make music, regardless of skill level and experience.
