Koszykowa 63, Warsaw (ground floor) 💸 Available for everyone, free of charge This October, the eyes of the world will once again turn to Warsaw for the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition - one of the oldest and most prestigious music events in the world. For three weeks, Hala Koszyki will transform into a unique Fan Zone of the Chopin Competition - an open, vibrant space where we will experience musical emotions comparable to those of great sporting events. A place for everyone - both devoted classical music lovers and those discovering it for the very first time. Program highlights include: - Live screenings of the Chopin Competition auditions and finals on the big screen (October 3-20) - Classical and jazz concerts - A community gathering to watch the final results at Hala Koszyki - An improvised theatre performance inspired by Chopin’s life by Kolektyw Śmiesznie - A lecture: “Chopin’s Women” - DJ sets inspired by the music of Fryderyk Chopin An event accompanying the "Koszyki Plays Chopin" project will be an exhibition of photographs by Wojciech Grzędziński from previous editions of the Competition. We warmly invite you to join us in cheering on the competitors and discovering Chopin’s music in a fresh new way! A detailed program of Fan Zone events will be announced soon. *The Fan Zone will be open from October 1 to 22, daily from 10 AM to 9 PM. On the day of the final round (October 20), the Fan Zone will remain open until the announcement of the Chopin Competition results. The project “Koszyki Plays Chopin” is organized in collaboration with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, Hala Koszyki, the Julian Cochran Foundation, and Sony.
