Very few artists from the golden era of roots reggae (the mid-70s) are still active, still have a great voice, and are still releasing new material 50 years after their debut. He was one of the first to elevate the legendary Channel One studio in Kingston. His debut LP was mixed by King Tubby himself, and the session band was the cream of roots sound. His influence on music and how we perceive roots reggae is enormous, as he also produced for giants like Barrington Levy, Eek A Mouse, Johnny Osbourne, Freddie McGregor, and Horace Andy. While club visits from Jamaican artists have disappeared over the last decade, this will be a very rare and unique opportunity to see one of the foundations of the reggae scene in relatively intimate conditions. Over 50 years on stage and still with a wonderful voice in a soundsystem version. A must-see! Roots Revival began in 2006, when after several years of playing in other collectives, Rootskontrolla and Jaszol decided to join forces. Soon after, inspired by Jamaican sounds and legendary British sessions, they built probably the first soundsystem of its kind in the country. At the beginning of 2022, Tomana Dub joined the selector crew, also providing organizational and graphic support. Based on their unique energy, specific style, and solid crew, Roots Revival wants to represent what they consider the best of the roots & culture genre. Additionally, Jaszol is responsible for creating and managing Tribe 84 Records, as well as organizing the Bass Camp festival in southern Poland. Vibes up!
