    Student Scientific Circle Conference "Union and Secession, Incorporation and Homage Through the Ages"

    Student and PhD Students' Historical Scientific Circle of UKSW invites participation in the nationwide scientific conference titled “Ad unionem velut membrum corpori Regni”. The conference aims to reflect on manifestations of changing concepts of international relations and arrangements (homages, unions, secessions, incorporations) through selected examples.

    Proposed topics (examples):

    • the phenomenon of personal and real unions, relationships between states and their heritage;
    • uprisings, rebellions and mechanisms leading to secession and their socio-political consequences;
    • mechanisms, legitimization and social reception of incorporations of lands and societies;
    • the phenomenon of homage as a political tool;
    • policies of rulers and leaders in establishing international relations;
