Join us for a meeting with Karolina Kania, the author of the exhibition "New Caledonia: Archipelago at a Crossroads"! This is an opportunity to learn stories from the New Caledonia archipelago, seen through the eyes of an ethnographer who explored local culture, customs, and challenges related to tourism development between 2014–2018. During the meeting, the author will talk about the behind-the-scenes of her research, the daily lives of residents, the multicultural mosaic of the archipelago, and unexpected Polish threads, such as the story of Antoni Berezowski. You will learn more about the Yam Festival, customary weddings, and the realities of life on this distant territory. The meeting is also a chance to find out how ethnographic observations were translated into the language of art through collaboration with Patrycja Bulska-Wolas, the creator of the exhibition posters. 📅 September 2, 2025, Tuesday, 6:00 PM 📍 Museum of Asia and the Pacific, Solec Street 24 Free admission Exhibition duration: September 2 – October 26, 2025 Event partner: Ethnographic Workshop Association
