Every week we meet live with artists, artistic individuals to talk about art: creative processes, works, and current experiences. Some people will appear for the first time, others have already visited the Center for Contemporary Art. In this series, we want to focus on individual attitudes and artistic practices. 🎨 Upcoming meeting: On Wednesday, 3/09/2025 at 6:00 PM in the Studio, we invite you to the next event in the {Live} series. Our guest will be Cezary Bodzianowski – painter and performer. His work is a subtle play with reality, conducted through irony, absurdity, and gestures that simultaneously establish and slightly undermine their meaning. Bodzianowski studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and at the Académie royale des Beaux-Arts in Antwerp. He is a laureate of the “Polityka” Passport and the author of over a thousand “events” – ephemeral interventions in public and private spaces, transforming everyday life into a personal theater of paradoxes. He participated in the exhibition Indeed, the young are realists (Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, 2002). Why is it worth participating? In times of tensions and crises, collective thinking and conversations about contemporary art, which responds to the challenges of the present in unconventional ways, help strengthen social resilience. Art is not just an object. Equally important are: process, thinking, emotions, and relationships. Live meetings allow us to closely observe how art is created and – most importantly – who creates it. The events are open to everyone: to people professionally involved in culture and art, as well as to those curious about its creators. Or simply those who want to talk about art. 📅 Upcoming meetings: - 10/09 — Ivo Nikić - 17/09 — Yulia Krivich - 24/09 — Xavery Deskur The meetings are recorded for archival purposes. They are available in the Mediatheque, where interested individuals can watch them online. We aim for the Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle to be accessible to everyone. To tailor the event to you and your needs, please contact our accessibility coordinator Ewa Doan: [email protected], no later than the Monday preceding the given meeting.
