Nabielaka 8/10 Warsaw ⏳ Exhibition duration: 22.08-22.09.2025 The paintings I call Waves are a record of my observations of a world full of subtleties. Since childhood, I have felt a strong connection with the element of water, and the sea has become a source of peace and life energy for me, which I now want to capture in a frame. I have translated this unique relationship into the language of art using an extremely precise technique that allows me to encapsulate the ephemeral: the dance of the wave, its sound, and mood. My work is meditation. The paintings are created on smooth paper, line by line, meticulously crafted using brush pens with pigment or watercolor ink. Each line gently overlaps the previous one, building not only the shape of the wave but also its depth. This process allows me to lose myself in the moment, calm my breath, and immerse myself in creative flow. Thanks to this, I can capture a specific moment – like a handmade photograph, but instead of a shutter, I use my pens. The exhibition "Invisible Waves" is my attempt to share what is within reach with others. I want to show that in a world that rushes and is filled with noise, it is worth stopping, looking, and finding those small shapes, colors, and sounds that define us. It is in them that the waves, seemingly escaping attention, are hidden, yet they are the foundation of our peace. Katarzyna Drynko-Kwietniewska
