We invite you to celebrate World Gorilla Day together at the Warsaw Zoo! 📅 WHEN?: September 20, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM 📍 WHERE?: At the Great Ape Pavilion 🎟️ WHAT TO BRING?: A good mood! On September 20, as part of the Saturday with Volunteers series, we are organizing an event to celebrate World Gorilla Day, which falls on September 24. Our volunteer Kasia is a big fan of these amazing animals and a treasure trove of knowledge. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the lives of gorillas, the largest representatives of great apes, which – although powerful – are also incredibly sensitive and require special protection. The program includes: - Gorilla diet; - Enrichments, i.e., clever solutions that stimulate natural behaviors; - Coloring pages, memory games, and art workshops for the youngest; - Gorilla-themed pins; - ...and a knowledge test – check how much you already know about gorillas! During the event, we will also talk about the threats gorillas face in their natural environment. Their population continues to decline, which is why it is so important for us to know how each of us can help protect them. Remember, even small, individual actions matter. ORGANIZERS: - Warsaw Zoo Volunteers - Warsaw Zoo A valid ticket to the Warsaw Zoo is required to participate in the meeting. The organizers reserve the right to cancel the meeting due to rain.
