🎨 October 22, 2025 – May 31, 2026 - We invite you to the Palace of the Republic every day except Tuesdays and additional days closed for visitors, which can be checked on the website: https://palacrzeczypospolitej.pl/godziny-otwarcia The oldest, most valuable, and most interesting monuments of the Polish language for the first time in an extraordinary scenography inspired by medieval illuminations. The word “posełkini” is not a modern invention – it already appears in the 14th century, in the Florian Psalter and in the Song of the Annunciation, where Mary says: “jam posełkini jego.” What sounds modern or controversial today has been present in our language since its dawn. The exhibition shows that the language of the Middle Ages is a living organism – full of emotions, fervor, and everyday stories. In the manuscripts, prayers and spells, science and magic, tenderness and anger meet. At the exhibition, you can see the most important monuments of the Polish language: the Holy Cross Sermons, the oldest Polish literary text, the Florian Psalter – a richly illuminated manuscript made at the end of the 14th century for Queen Jadwiga. In addition, several other books showing the panorama of medieval emotions – from prayers and pious songs to spells and insults. The exhibition is accompanied by sculptures by Sasza Wiktor inspired by illuminations from the Florian Psalter. You can also play, before their official release, the games Scriptorium and Inkulinati from Yaza Games studio, which brought to life medieval miniatures from the margins of books. As part of the exhibition’s promotion, a medieval hotline has been launched. At (+48) 880 120 752, an automaton will answer questions about the exhibition and provide necessary information in a language inspired by Old Polish. - Curator: Dr. Łukasz Kozak - Graphic design: Hanna Dudkowiak - Sculptures: Sasza Wiktor - Light installations: Aleksandr Prowaliński, assistant: Alexander Adamau Attention!
