I moved to Greenland in 2006 and it took me a long time to learn how to live on this island. When I arrived as a graduate of Poznań's German studies, I had practically no skills useful for functioning normally in a place so different from where I grew up. I had neither a job nor any idea what could be done there. However, I knew that I would soon become a father. A lot has happened since then. I think I've learned a lot; apart from purely practical things like hunting and moving through the wilderness, I realized how important respect for the forces of nature is and appreciated the positives of limited choices. My presentation consists of numerous photographs and years of filmed snippets of Greenlandic everyday life, which together tell the story of living among Greenlanders, the attempt to assimilate on the world's largest island, and the challenges that awaited me.
