80 years of the Warsaw District of the Association of Polish Visual Artists DAP1, DAP2, and DAP3 Galleries of the Artist's House OW ZPAP at Mazowiecka Street 11A 📅 Exhibition from August 8 to September 28, 2025 📅 Opening on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 6:00 PM Exhibition curator: Bożenna Leszczyńska - President of the OW ZPAP Board The 80th anniversary of the Warsaw District of the Association of Polish Visual Artists is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the history of our District and its headquarters, the Artist's House at Mazowiecka Street 11A, as well as to present the most important events and figures from these 80 years. The exhibition highlights, among other things: - Interesting documents related to the establishment of the Warsaw District in 1945 - The circumstances of establishing the Jan Cybis Award in 1973 - still the most prestigious award for Polish painters, granted for lifetime creative achievement - The extraordinary history of the Experimental Artistic Weaving Studio and the Pablo Picasso Experimental Lithography Studio The history of our District also includes the activities of artists in sections and various creative groups. For 16 years, the interdisciplinary PositiveArt Creative Group has been active, bringing together about 100 artists from all our sections, namely: - Painting Section - Graphics Section - Textile Section - Sculpture Section - Spatial Design Section - Art Conservation Section The accompanying exhibition catalog contains the history of our Boards and a list of all our current OW ZPAP members.
