Join us for the next meeting in the "Key in the Lock" series! 📅 On August 30, 2025, at 4:00 PM, there will be a meeting with Bartłomiej Kiełbowicz, the author of paintings from the "POLAND" series. Free admission 📍 Location: Gathering in the Main Hall In the rooms with Jan Matejko's canvases, an artistic installation "Poland" will be displayed. These are paintings by Bartłomiej Kiełbowicz, which he has been working on since 2024, with some pieces prepared specifically for this presentation. Kiełbowicz's works gain supporters as quickly as they attract critics. In the age of social media, this is hardly surprising. The artist comments on reality: he supports women's protests, criticizes the anti-immigration stance of right-wing media, and participates in pro-democratic actions. His art intertwines with civic engagement. In his art, faces fade and become a backdrop for the inscription "POLAND." Revisiting earlier works, the artist combines recent events with his own experiences. In the compositions, one can recognize the silhouettes of presidents: Duda, Trump, and Zelensky, while matte, brown tones evoke the smoke over Kyiv. This is another installment of Kiełbowicz's dialogue with Matejko's painting. His collages "Battle of Grunwald" from 2019 marked the beginning of this artistic path. 🖼️ Painting exhibition: - August 26 – September 28, 2025 - Royal Rooms Curator: Monika Przypkowska Organizational Commissioner: Paweł Martosz Exhibition Organization Department: - Robert Gruszka - Piotr Kubiak - Rafał Mroczek - Kamil Nowiński - Krzysztof Nowiński - Franciszek Wolf - Dariusz Zgiet Promotion and Communication Department: - Anna Buczyńska - Mateusz Kaczyński - Bartosz Kolczykiewicz - Mikołaj Krupa - Dorota Parzyszek - Dorota Piskorska - Paulina Szwed-Piestrzeniewicz - Anna Żak Conservation Department: - Tomasz Buźniak - Maria Szczypek
