We invite you to Brazilian Zouk workshops focused 100% on the social side of the dance. During them we will concentrate on the best possible partner alignment and on making leading/following comfortable for you. And all of that, of course, in close embrace!
The topic of this workshop will be smooth head transitions so that your head movements become more comfortable and more precise in leading/following. You will see how, in close hold, you can control and lead basic elements of Brazilian Zouk with the body, such as: balão transitioning into pião or balão apagado. Of course, as always we will synchronize this with steps so your dancing becomes more dynamic and spatial.

What is Close Embrace Zouk?
It is nothing other than Brazilian Zouk danced in close hold. A methodology invented and developed by Gui Prada and Kelsey Rodes, characterized by dancing in smaller ranges and greater use of the hips and our core in leading. Dancing in close embrace may seem less spectacular, but it is incredibly pleasant, fluid and addictive. This system is based on partners adapting to each other’s dance abilities so they can fully enjoy the dance and closeness. Zouk Close Embrace can be danced to any music you know, and the elements you learn at the workshops can be woven into your dance and used to a lesser or greater extent depending on what you want to achieve.
Who is Ignac?
Ignac has been dancing Zouk for over 10 years and still can’t get enough. He leads classes in his native Łódź and at the largest zouk festivals in Poland, specializing in Close Embrace technique. He is also a certified judge of the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council. Besides dancing he also loves music, which is why you can often see him behind the decks at events across Poland.
