Warsaw has risen from the ashes before, but no earlier conflict left as lasting traces as World War II. The city, almost completely destroyed, needed to be rebuilt, but this also offered an opportunity to address many prewar problems. During our meeting we will introduce you to the world of the postwar reality. We will outline the scale of the destruction and show the challenges faced by residents returning to the city.
The lecture series is hosted by members of the Research Team - Milion Explorers Team. Their short paleontological episode on the Vistula turned into a many-year adventure.
