When that didn't help, she sawed wood and built a high wall around herself. Painting and sculpture. "It's not only what divides us that connects us" – is this a logical puzzle? Five artists are connected by home, femininity, and motherhood – themes so classic they're almost cliché. What divides the artists but also connects them? Different ways of taking control of the situation. The artists invalidate their everyday lives and elevate them at the same time. They invalidate them by making them the material of art, and elevate them – in the same way. This is the fundamental paradox of this transformation. You wake up, and the home is not just a home, the child not just a child, the dog not just a dog. Everything is something more. At the exhibition, we will showcase five examples of survival strategies, victorious escapes. Of course, all of this can be expressed with other words: autonomy, emancipation, freedom, and feminism, but it's unclear how long everything will last.
