    About the event

The Śródmiejska Galeria Apteka Sztuki invites you to the painting exhibition PT Duo Art, featuring Joanna Pęgier and Robert Toczewski. The opening is on September 5th. Free admission. 🎨 The exhibition "Coexistences" unveils another cycle of works by the artistic duo PT Duo Art – Joanna Pęgier and Robert Toczewski. It is a story about the power of creative dialogue and the dynamics of a shared vision. This is a unique exhibition in a special place for the duo. The Apteka Sztuki Gallery, where the artists had their first joint exhibition, celebrates with them the third anniversary of their creative collaboration. 📅 Opening: September 5th (Friday), 2025, at 6:00 PM. 📅 Meeting with the Authors: September 27th (Saturday), 2025, at 4:00 PM. 📅 Exhibition open: From September 6th to September 30th, 2025 (free admission). Multidimensionality of coexistence The exhibition title touches on many levels: from the experience of the artists' creative collaboration, through the coexistence of different painting spaces, to the formal idea of diptychs and polyptychs. In these multi-part works, individual elements dialogue with each other, creating echoes of the presented motifs and larger wholes. Each jointly painted canvas becomes a record of a conversation conducted in the language of color and form. A special element of the exhibition is a work documenting the evolution of the duo's collaboration – a multi-layered painting with a logo created over the years, capturing successive stages of their artistic explorations. Contrast and harmony In the presented works, organic forms coexist with geometry, the softness of gradients with the rhythm of point textures, and contemplative depths with dynamic streams of colors. Here, differences harmonize with each other, and coexistence reaches its highest form, born from the combination of two individual sensitivities. The paintings balance between the "known" and the "mysterious." They evoke associations with cosmic space, the aurora borealis, or abstract landscapes, defying straightforward interpretation. This is painting that does not describe the world but co-creates it. Where does one artist end and the other begin? Where is the boundary between intuition and conscious construction? What is the "alchemy" of their collaboration? These questions make viewing the works an experience full of discoveries. "Coexistences" is an invitation to open thinking about creativity – not as an isolated act of creation, but as a living and interactive process of exchange. It is art that shows that the most interesting things happen "between" – between authors, between techniques, between what is visible and what is felt. "Our canvases are like wordless conversations, in which we mutually experience and complement our visions. However much our awareness of the creative process grows, we always leave room for what surprises us – the mystery of art and its unpredictability. Like Herbert, we remain "faithful to uncertain clarity," finding it in our joint creation." – say PT Duo Art. PT Duo Art: Joanna Pęgier & Robert Toczewski The artistic duo PT Duo Art, Joanna Pęgier and Robert Toczewski, consists of two friends who found a similar sensitivity in their creativity and simultaneously a passion for realizing unconventional artistic ideas. Within formal solutions, these are seemingly two different approaches to the matter of painting. Despite differences and contrasts, however, Joanna's poetic visions and Robert's synthetic perception of the world complement each other excellently. The duo, celebrating the third anniversary of their artistic collaboration, has already achieved initial successes, including participation in the international Biennale Quadro Art 2023, the finals of The Abstractum International Art Show 2024 in Budapest, as well as exhibitions in Warsaw, Italy, and France. Independently of their joint activities within the artistic duo, Joanna and Robert have been creating individually for many years. They are graduates of the Open Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and members of artistic associations, including the International Association of Art. They have dozens of individual and group exhibitions to their credit, including international ones. They have often been curators and jurors of artistic competitions. For their achievements, they have been awarded in national and international competitions. The gallery space at Al. Wyzwolenia 3/5 is used by the Open Doors Association for cultural and social purposes thanks to the support of the City of Warsaw – Śródmieście District.
