We invite you to the concert KOCHANOWSKI Wika / Strug / Monodia Polska – compositions by Filip Wika to the poems of Jan Kochanowski performed by the Monodia Polska ensemble under the musical direction of Adam Strug. - Music: Filip Wika - Music production: Adam Strug - Performance: Monodia Polska The concert will feature compositions by Filip Wika to the poems of Jan Kochanowski. The pieces are written in such a way that the audience – regardless of their vocal proficiency – can sing along after the first stanza. We will hear songs familiar from school readings as well as those less explored by contemporary audiences. Filip Wika – poet, composer, multi-instrumentalist, singer of the Monodia Polska ensemble, student of MISH at the University of Warsaw. Monodia Polska – an ensemble practicing songs passed down through oral tradition, as well as (contrary to its name) polyphonic scores of Polish medieval and Renaissance music. The event is part of NPRCz 2.0, whose booth inspired by Jan Kochanowski's works will be available to participants. The central point of the program will be literary collage workshops led by Maryna Siliakova – artist, illustrator, and visual educator.
