Bułat Okudżawa and Włodzimierz Wysocki Two greatest bards of the 20th century The most beautiful songs performed by the Piramidy Band 🎵 On September 7th, we invite you to an extraordinary concert dedicated to the two greatest bards of the 20th century – Włodzimierz Wysocki and Bułat Okudżawa. Their work has forever become part of the history and tradition of song. With their charisma, they reached millions of listeners worldwide. They sang against the regime, against the KGB, against censorship. They gave hope. They gave freedom. On the stage of the Włochy Cultural Center, their greatest and most beautiful, as well as their most famous hits, will resonate. They will be performed by Michał Konstrat and Piotr Kajetan Matczuk. 🎶 The songs that make up this extraordinary project were chosen by the musicians in a very thoughtful way. The program is musically diverse. During the concert, the musicians will talk about the colorful and dramatic lives of both bards. During the concert, you will hear unforgettable songs by Włodzimierz Wysocki, including the legendary "Konie narowiste," "Centrala zero siedem," "Gdzie Wywiozą," as well as the most famous songs by Bułat Okudżawa, such as "Aleksander Sergiejewicz Puszkin," "Trzy Miłości," "Piosenka o młodym ułanie," and "Modlitwa – Dopóki ziemia kręci się," among many others. You can expect 80 minutes of great emotions, reflections, smiles, and encounters with good literature and the classics of world song – in the best poetic, theatrical, and musical rendition. 🎤 The concert will be performed by: - Piotr Kajetan Matczuk – vocals, guitar, piano – Pianist, guitarist, songwriter. Leader and founder of the Piramidy band. Composer of theater and film music. He has performed not only in Poland but also in many countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Mexico, Russia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and many others – in many prestigious concert halls worldwide, such as Columbiahalle in Berlin or the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall at the Moscow Philharmonic. He has recorded several albums, not only with the Piramidy band but also with Polish actors, released by various music labels, mostly by MTJ from Warsaw. He composed the album "Dopokąd" for Krzysztof Tyniec and was the music director of his band at the Ateneum Theater in Warsaw. The album "Rok wojny" with his original lyrics premiered at the NATO Allied Joint Force Command military base in Brunssum for Polish soldiers leading the mission in Afghanistan. He performed at the official celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall at Fontanehaus in Berlin with his original piece "Charlie Checkpoint," as well as at the Permanent Mission of Poland to the UN in Geneva. He composed music for about 60 documentary films and several theater productions. He owns the "Piramidy Studio" recording studio, often used in television productions. He is the artistic director of the International Song Festival "Szlakiem Bardów" and a respected producer and audiobook creator. - Michał Konstrat – vocals, guitar Graduate of the University of Warsaw. Songwriter and creator of music for poems by renowned poets, including Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński, Adam Mickiewicz, William Shakespeare, Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz, Wisława Szymborska, Czesław Miłosz, Adam Asnyk, and others. Performer and interpreter of songs by Russian bards (Bułat Okudżawa, Włodzimierz Wysocki, Oleg Mityayev, Aleksandr Dolsky, and Aleksandr Rozenbaum). Winner of many national festivals of authorial, poetic, and sung poetry. After a period of performing at authorial creativity reviews as a participant, Michał began a concert stage that continues to this day. He performs solo or with a band. From 2012 to 2014, he performed in a duet with Piotr Kajetan Matczuk, with whom he created the musical program "Nasz Wysocki," based on the works of Włodzimierz Wysocki, which enjoyed great popularity among listeners. The culmination of this musical adventure was a live album of the same title: "Nasz Wysocki" (MTJ, 2013). Since 2013, Michał, together with Małgorzata Sroczyńska and Marcin Prokopiak, has consistently formed the music group Michał Konstrat with the Band. Occasionally, Michał also performs on the same stage with his former colleague – Mateusz Rulski-Bożek. In 2019, the album "Spotkanie po latach" (RZP, 2019) with Michał's original songs was released, and in 2023, the album "Sonety krymskie" (RZP, 2023) with words by Adam Mickiewicz and music by Michał, performed by the entire band. 📍 Włochy Cultural Center, ul.
