We invite you to the Christmas Market and gingerbread workshops in Toruń. A local guide will show us the most interesting corners of Toruń's Old Town. We will visit the Tony Halik Travelers' Museum and the Gothic Old Town Hall. We will take part in gingerbread workshops at the Toruń Gingerbread Museum. We will visit the festive market, where you will have the opportunity to buy Christmas gifts and treats. PROGRAM - Meeting in Warsaw at 05:45 at the stop at E. Plater 47, with a breakfast break on the route. - We will start sightseeing with a guided walk through the picturesque corners of the Old Town, which, due to the authenticity of its medieval urban layout, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. Many medieval buildings have survived in Toruń to this day, and the city proudly advertises itself with the slogan "Gothic at your fingertips." - We will visit the Toruń Gingerbread Museum, where, in addition to an interesting exhibition, we will learn knowledge once shrouded in great mystery. Under the supervision of master gingerbread makers, surrounded by the aroma of spices, we will make gingerbreads, which we will take home as souvenirs after baking. - Like true travelers, we will also visit the Travelers' Museum in an old granary, whose patron is native Toruń resident Tony Halik. We will see photographs, films, hunting trophies, clothing, and other memorabilia from the numerous expeditions of Tony Halik and Elżbieta Dzikowska. The exhibition also presents the achievements of other outstanding Polish travelers, including Paweł Edmund Strzelecki, Arkady Fiedler, and Olgierd Budrewicz. The ticket to the Travelers' Museum also includes admission to the Old Town Hall. - After sightseeing, it's time to visit the Christmas Market, an annual event featuring colorful stalls with a variety of products. During the market, the Old Town transforms into a festive land full of the aroma of gingerbread, cinnamon, and mulled wine. Here you will find Christmas tree decorations, handicrafts, and various delicacies.
