Arabela is a cult Czechoslovakian TV series from the 1980s for children and youth. The series, which delighted and entertained several generations of viewers, surprised with its original imagination and the lightness of Czech humor. Unforgettable characters such as Wizard Rumburak, Devil Blekota, Witch, Wizard Vigo, or the unfulfilled dubbing actor Majer are still remembered today. Today, Arabela remains not only a sentimental return to the childhood of the older generation, but is still an eccentric story about the intertwining worlds of fairy tales and reality. About the rebellion of the second-class wizard Rumburak, who wants to overturn the hierarchical and traditional world of fairy tales by using magic and manipulation of the real world for his own purposes. In the background of the conflict, we observe the romantic love between the fairy tale heroine Princess Arabela and a young boy from Prague, Petr. Is a love relationship between a fairy tale character and a "real" person possible? Will Rumburak's rebellion change the existing order of the fairy tale world and can it affect real reality? Will the attempt at revolution change the behavior and way of thinking of individual characters? And is our world, which claims to be real and is subject to chaotic and dynamic technological, social, and political changes, really more real than the world of fairy tales? We will tell you about this soon… Strobe lighting is used in the performance Copyrights to the play are represented by ADiT Agency. 💸 Tickets: 35 PLN (regular) and 30 PLN (discounted) https://krakow.ast.krakow.pl/teatr-ast/repertuar/ Information: Organization and Promotion Department of AST Theatre tel. 12 362 71 30, bilety@ast.krakow.pl Photo: Rafał Skwarek
