We invite you to a meeting where we will show that Warsaw is not just a concrete jungle. Through photos and videos from our observations we will tell the story of wild animals living in the city.
Date: 25 March
Time: 18:00
Place: Przestrzeń sąsiedzka Akumulator
Admission: free
Almost two million inhabitants, 517 square kilometres of area and strong urban pressure. One might think that there is no place for wild animals in Warsaw. Of course there are ducks in parks, seagulls by the Vistula or wild boars complicating life for residents of border districts. The reality is quite different – many surprising animal species have made their homes in this concrete jungle and are doing really well.
During the meeting we will present photos and videos made during our observations. We will talk about, among others:
Milion Explorers Team – an interdisciplinary team of history and nature enthusiasts. The group, at the invitation of associations and organizations, has repeatedly participated in fieldwork and searches across Poland. Since 2021 it has been operating independently, undertaking paleontological, geological, historical and naturalist searches.
