    About the event

    Firefighter Survival Level 1 - Improving Firefighter Actions in Hazardous Zones



    For whom: For PSP, OSP, ZSP, WSP firefighters, etc., participating in operations where working with breathing apparatus is necessary.



    When: March 7, 2026 (Saturday).

    Where: FireTrap.pl Training Center, Warsaw, ul. Kosmatki 12.
    Map: map

    Purpose: To learn what to do to avoid getting into trouble and how to handle a critical situation to return home safely after an operation.

    Cost: 450 PLN per person gross
    Price does not include travel and accommodation costs.



    How the training looks:



    • 20% theory, 80% practice.
    • Lectures in presentation form. Training in the most demanding conditions possible to replicate during exercises.
    • Training takes place on a specialist obstacle course of several hundred square meters.


    Topics covered:



    • Preparation and donning of personal protective equipment and personal gear for work in a "difficult zone".
    • Emergency situations: breathing apparatus failure, entanglement, evacuation through tight spaces, etc.
    • Algorithm for calling for help.
    • Obstacle course simulating movement and evacuation from a "difficult zone".
    • Maintaining communication while working with breathing apparatus.
    • Basics of air management.
    • Simulation of work under heavy physical and mental load.


    Requirements:



    • current medical examinations,
    • good physical fitness,
    • completed training authorizing participation in firefighting and rescue operations,
    • current personal accident insurance (NNW) in the home unit.


    Required equipment:



    • special clothing, helmet, balaclava, firefighter boots, firefighting and possibly technical gloves,
    • breathing apparatus (with a reserve of at least 300 bar of air), equipment with current inspections and approval for use,
    • motion alarm and a radio equipped with firefighting and rescue channels,
    • flashlight.
