The Vistula is an excellent habitat for many animal species, especially birds. This unique bird sanctuary is home to rare and endangered species that are under special protection as part of the Natura 2000 network. We invite you to a series of ornithological walks, during which we will get to know the winged inhabitants of the Vistula District and observe how the bird landscape changes throughout the year. We encourage all amateurs and enthusiasts, young and old, to observe our feathered friends. How satisfying it is to spot a rare species or photograph a beautiful bird. 🌍 Walk theme: The inevitable migration in the bird world. See you in the field! The walks are led by Hubert Mateuszczyk, an ornithologist from the Greenery Board. Hubert will have a telescope, and we ask you to bring binoculars – if someone doesn't have them, #DrużynaKamienia will gladly lend them. 📅 WHERE AND WHEN? - We meet on September 6 at 10:00 AM at the Kamień Educational Pavilion (ul. Wybrzeże Puckie 1) and wander along the Vistula. 👨👩👧👦 FOR WHOM? - For everyone, including families with children. 💸 FREE EVENT - Free admission. The event is organized by the Greenery Board of the City of Warsaw. 📌 ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION - The Kamień Educational Pavilion is architecturally accessible. Events take place on the ground floor or in the area around the pavilion. The building has an adapted restroom for people with disabilities, which also includes a changing table. Another restroom has a pink box available. There is no sign language interpreter or assistant available. 🚗 Getting there: The Kamień Educational Pavilion is located at ul. Wybrzeże Puckie 1, 03-301 Warsaw (Praga-Północ). Parking with a space for people with disabilities is available. The nearest tram stop is Wybrzeże Helskie (200 meters, note: no elevator). The nearest bus stop is Rondo Starzyńskiego (650 meters). The nearest train station is Warszawa ZOO (700 meters). See the public transport map for directions.
