    About the event

    ATTENTION CONTEST! We are pleased to invite all students at the University of Warsaw to participate in the first edition of the student competition for the best literary translation. The main theme of this edition is ⋆˚࿔ the future ⋆⭒˚.⋆ And in it: zombies, rockets, smart homes, and... a mysterious sphere. The competition task is to translate a short story or a book excerpt into Polish from the following languages: - English - French - Spanish - Russian The texts to be translated have been selected by the competition committee and can be found, along with the detailed competition rules, at this link: https://drive.google.com/ 🗓️ We are accepting submissions from October 29, 2025 to January 16, 2026 (until 11:59 PM). You can try your hand at translating from several languages, but you may submit only one entry per language. 🗓️ The results will be announced on February 16, 2026. In addition to recognition and great satisfaction, the winner in each language category will receive a book prize. We warmly encourage all translation enthusiasts to participate, regardless of their field or year of study. The future has arrived, translators! It's time to face it... — Important: in this version of the future, we play without chatbots! Please make sure your translations are done independently, without AI assistance. The organizer of the competition is the Literary Translation Student Society at ILS UW.
