REGISTRATION REQUIRED! Limited number of places Available Since its founding in 1862, the National Museum in Warsaw has aimed to present collections from many art fields: painting, sculpture, prints, decorative arts and Polish design. The diversity of objects, eye-catching works that provoke emotion and surprise, leave a wealth of impressions. We will remain in that wonder as we walk the Jewish path through successive galleries. We will experience it through exceptional everyday objects, paintings and sculptures, focusing on works related to Jewish artists and themes. We will meet the princess of painting, the poet of light, a master of portraits, the spiritual father of Jewish painting in Central Europe, several extraordinary figures who helped create the École de Paris, a brilliant outsider and a designer of Polish modernity. We will learn, among other things: - what are the most important features of classical painting - who Saul is aiming at with a spear and why - who painted the portrait of Empress Sissi - who was the first owner of “The Battle of Grunwald” - which fake news saved “The Battle of Grunwald” - who lived briefly and painted beautifully - who has an orange tie - why Leopold Staff’s romance ended - where along the Vistula Boulevards the “Trumpet Festival” took place - why you must take care of a handbag - and many other colorful stories. Start: 31.01 (Saturday), 12:00. We meet at the National Museum — in the hall, by the cloakroom to the left of the entrance. Cost: 60 zł (including admission ticket, headset sets and guide service). Payable in cash on site. Registration required by sending an SMS to phone number: 505 023 782. The walk will be led by KASIA — a licensed Warsaw guide
