Academy of Underground Arts, Metro Wilanowska – Warsaw We invite you to an author-led tour of the post-workshop photography exhibition "Moros y Cristianos – Pego." This is a unique opportunity to hear the stories behind the creation of the photos, which were born during the Polish Women Photographers workshops in the Spanish town of Pego, where in June this year we documented one of the most important fiestas – the colorful and emotional celebration of Moros y Cristianos. Exhibition authors: - Małgorzata Dominiak [@malgorzatadominiak_photo] – a documentarian of everyday life, who amidst the colors, music, and celebrations sought to capture the silent heroes in the background and the simplicity of local life. - Agnieszka Zyga [@aga.zyga.fotografia] – a photographer who, in the midst of images and sounds, searched for details and fragments that allowed her to find order in the chaos of the fiesta. The meeting will be led by: Anna Bedyńska – photographer and mentor, who conducted workshops during the Pego session. A World Press Photo laureate, long-time journalist for "Gazeta Wyborcza," and author of award-winning documentary and portrait projects. The exhibition is a story about everyday life and celebration, about how different generations co-create local traditions. It is also an attempt to capture another perspective – one that stops in wonder and reminds us that beauty lies in simplicity and details. 📅 Join us on September 20 to see the images and hear the stories behind the frames. Come, listen, and see how photography is born – in the rhythm of music, tradition, and human stories.
