Their flute and accordion recital will reveal to listeners a full spectrum of styles, eras, and emotions in world music – from classical, through tango and jazz, to contemporary music. The concert program will feature works by Béla Bartók, Astor Piazzolla, Krzysztof Komeda, Krzysztof Herdzin, John Zorn, as well as original compositions by Jarosław Bester. Only a duet of this caliber could combine such a rich and diverse repertoire into an artistically coherent whole – thanks to masterful arrangements that organize stylistic contrasts, the Kotnowska and Bester recital becomes a unique blend of virtuosity, emotion, and artistic freshness.
