    About the event

We invite seniors to a meeting where they will learn how financial scammers operate and how to protect themselves from their tricks. - We want seniors to feel safe and confident, says Magdalena Rutkiewicz, president of the Projekt Starsi Foundation. - During the meeting, we will show how to recognize threats, avoid manipulation, and stay vigilant in everyday situations. The event will begin with a discussion with experts and conclude with a shared second breakfast. - We will talk, among other things, about language, announces Przemysław Megger, a plain language specialist from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. - Words have great power, which can be used for both good and bad purposes. Unethically used language, rhetorical tricks, or sentences with hidden manipulation are things we usually don't pay attention to, but they greatly influence our perception of reality. Emotions are also significant. - Every such attempt at fraud is a play on emotions, emphasizes Sandra Laskowska, psychologist and lecturer at SWPS University, who will also participate in the discussion. A special guest, junior officer Paweł Siwek from the Warsaw V District Police Headquarters, will also share his knowledge with the audience. We also encourage you to share your own experiences. Below is a link to a survey accompanying the event. The survey is anonymous and takes only a few minutes to complete. The results will support the foundation's efforts in implementing educational projects for seniors. https://forms.cloud.microsoft/pages/responsepage.aspx The discussion and accompanying activities are an initiative of employees of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.
