  • Jolanta Sobiesiuk — translator (sworn translations: French; non‑sworn translations: Italian, English, Russian), intercultural and anti‑discrimination trainer, facilitator and coordinator of local education at the Local Tourist Organization LOT Nad Bugiem.
  • dr Bogdan Gałązka — head chef and restaurateur, food historian specializing in historical reconstruction of medieval and late Renaissance cuisine. He runs Stolica Café in the Iluzjon Cinema space (National Film Archive, Warsaw). Winner of Chef of the Year Traditional Cuisine 2019 (Gault & Millau Poland). Author of culinary publications and books.


About the training
The intercultural training is intended for gastronomy teams working in culturally diverse environments — both in relations with guests and in internal team cooperation. Participants will learn practical tools to support communication, relationship building and effective management of cultural diversity in daily work.



Training objective
Strengthening intercultural competencies that support good communication, professional guest service and effective teamwork in gastronomy teams.



Topics covered:



  • what culture and intercultural competence are
  • dimensions of cultures and their relevance in daily work
  • cultural differences in communication and professional behaviors
  • leadership and the role of the leader in different cultures
  • working in an intercultural team


Outcomes of participation
Participants will better understand cultural differences, be able to respond with greater awareness and flexibility, and cooperate more effectively in teams and with guests from different countries.



The organizer reserves the right to cancel the training if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
