
The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, together with the Department of Musical Acoustics and Multimedia of the Sound Direction Faculty at UMFC, invites you to the Sounds of the Metaverse conference. The initiator and chairman of the organizing committee is Assistant Professor Dr. Przemysław Danowski. CONFERENCE GOAL – to integrate the international community of researchers and practitioners working with sound in virtual environments, including, among others, computer game engines. The conference is a one-day event, consisting of lectures and presentations of works by people from various backgrounds, dealing with different aspects of working with sound in digital and virtual environments, as well as by those studying virtual environments from a cultural studies perspective. During the conference, there will be an opportunity to listen to immersive sound works distinguished in the eighth edition of the Student 3D Audio Production Competition, organized annually by the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics, a unit of the University of the Arts in Graz. The opening lecture of the conference, titled “Three Perspectives on Music AI,” will be presented by Dr. Eng. Mateusz Modrzejewski, an assistant professor at Warsaw University of Technology, a researcher into the application of AI in music, and a performing musician. The language of the conference is English. *** The third edition of a conference on sound and music in virtual environments "Sounds of the Metaverse".
