Worlds unimaginable, abstract, non-literal, anchored in the perception not only of the artist herself but primarily of the viewer, intertwine. Curiosity and incomprehension pose questions and set directions, creating new spaces that are either already discovered or yet to be explored. In her works, the artist also introduces the motif of the sign and builds a narrative around it. For example, the diptych PANTA RHEI was created around Heraclitus's thesis on constant change and the dynamic nature of the universe. Undeniably, we are subject to the laws of nature and have a designated place in the enigmatic and certainly ever-changing universe. And although science continues to expand our horizons by providing answers to new questions, it is difficult to contest that most of it remains a mystery. Sylwia Piwowar graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, earning her diploma in the painting studio of Prof. Apoloniusz Węgłowski and an annex in the photography studio of Prof. Mariusz Wideryński. She is also a graduate of the Leon Koźmiński Academy. Her creative interests meander between painting, photography, poetry, and video art. She collaborates with the Polish Academy of Sciences, has participated in numerous individual and group exhibitions, is the author of the poetry volume "In the Polyphony of Silence," and is a scholarship holder of NIMiT.
