On October 25, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, we invite you to a 2-hour workshop where you'll have the chance to see if ZOUK will sweep you off your feet and if it's the dance for you. Zouk (pronounced 'zook') is a fluid, light, and sensual partner dance. You can improvise, dance to various music, and even completely lose yourself in it. In our classes, we focus primarily on feeling good while dancing, communicating with each other and your partner, and concentrating on touch, not just learning complicated moves. This kind of dance brings a lot of joy, even when you're just starting out. What to expect: - These will be beginner workshops, so we'll show basic steps and figures, but we'll also give tips on how to feel comfortable, connect with the person you're dancing with, and with your own body. - We'll dance to very diverse music, switch partners, and even play like little kids. - By coming, you'll learn more than just steps. Dance is a conversation between two people, and you want to chat casually, with confidence and kindness towards the other person. That's exactly what we teach.
