Vocalist Maciej Koczorowski (Chainsaw) invited several musician friends to record a cover of Iron Maiden's "The Trooper." The lineup included experienced guitarist Jarek Chilkiewicz from Piotr Cugowski's band (ex Bracia), who has also worked with many artists, including Kasia Kowalska, Małgorzata Ostrowska, Ewelina Flinta, and bands like My Riot, Sweet Noise, and House of Death. The rhythm section featured drummer Łukasz Tomczak from Immalum and Sorry Boys, bassist Tomasz Targosz (CETI), and second guitarist Marek "Spider" Pająk, known from Vader. The second vocalist was Krzysiek Sokołowski from Nocny Kochanek, and the lineup was completed by Piotr Cugowski and Polish heavy metal legend Wojciech Hoffmann from Turbo. The song quickly became a hit circulating online. Unexpectedly positive feedback from fans led Polish Metal Alliance to follow up half a year later with a rendition of Judas Priest's classic "Painkiller," featuring Grzegorz Skawiński (Kombii). Another few hundred thousand views on YouTube resulted in another recording. This time, Queen's "I Want It All" was tackled, with the lineup expanded to include Wojtek Cugowski (vocals and guitar), Tomek Struszczyk from Turbo, and keyboardist Mirek Skorupski from White Highway. Further productions included "Stars" from the Hear’n Aid project, featuring as many as 25 people, including Małgorzata Ostrowska and Grzegorz Kupczyk. The fifth song released online was Slayer's classic "Raining Blood," featuring Virgin Snatch vocalist Łukasz "Zielony" Zieliński. The sixth song saw a change in the drummer position, with Beata Polak (Wolf Spider, Armia, 2TM23) replacing Łukasz Tomczak. This time, Accept's German classic "Metal Heart" was covered, followed by the seventh song, "Stargazer" from Rainbow's repertoire. Other songs produced by Polish Metal Alliance that delighted audiences included Metallica's "Master of Puppets" featuring Kasia Kowalska and Piotr Cugowski, as well as Pantera's "I'm Broken" with Krzysztof Zalewski. Next, Journey's "Separate Ways" and Van Halen's "When is Love" were covered. The years 2023-2025 were intense, with the band appearing at concerts such as Jarocin Festival, the annual Metal Year-End in Bydgoszcz, and events organized by Galicja Productions. Most concerts were sold out. New recordings also appeared: Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" featuring Juan Carlos Cano from House of Death and finalist of The Voice Of Poland, Pantera's "Cemetery Gates," and King Diamond's cult "Abigail" brilliantly sung by Krzysiek Sokołowski. Behind the drums was Michał Łysejko, known from Decapitated and Dieth. At the end of 2024, a video for Billy Idol's hit "Rebel Yell" was released, featuring Artur Gadowski, Peter from Vader, Ania Rusowicz, Paweł Małaszyński, and Clodie. The YouTube channel also featured a video for Megadeth's "Symphony of Destruction" sung by Skaya from Quo Vadis and "Zielony" from Virgin Snatch. Over 50 musicians have participated in the project over 5 years, and it continues to grow, planning concerts and new recordings. Recording original material is not out of the question. WOLF SPIDER – WILCZY PAJĄK WOLF SPIDER is a group that can confidently be called a legend of Polish metal. The band was formed in the mid-1980s and was active on the metal scene until the early 1990s. Their unique approach to thrash metal, complex compositions, and high musical craftsmanship allowed the band to quickly achieve success and perform at the most important metal festivals, even opening for Deep Purple. On the occasion of releasing their latest album "VI," the band played a spring tour with Dragon, which will continue in the autumn. BAND INFO: WOLF SPIDER A Polish thrash metal band founded in 1985 in Poznań, which made a strong mark on the heavy metal scene in its early years, being the first to successfully bring American thrash metal to the Polish music scene. The band quickly gained recognition from fans and the music industry, becoming a regular participant at major music events of the time, including Jarocin (winner '87), Metalmania, Metal Battle, and concerts in Czechoslovakia and Hungary. The original lineup included Leszek Szpigiel (Non Iron, Mekong Delta) – vocals, Maciej Matuszak (Gomor) – guitar, Piotr Mańkowski – guitar, Mariusz Przybylski – bass, and Tomasz Goehs (Turbo, Creation of Death, KNŻ) – drums. Dariusz "Popcorn" Popowicz (Acid Drinkers, Armia) also played with Wolf Spider for several years. Between 1989-91, the band released four albums, then suspended activity after performing alongside British band Deep Purple at Poznań Arena. After 20 years, the band resumed live performances and began working on new material, resulting in the EP "It's Your Time." The band appeared at important recurring events such as "MetalFest," "Rock in Szczecin," "Mayday Rock Festival," and "Solidarity Festival." In 2014, they toured China, performing at two major festivals – "Long River International Festival" and "Asia Metal Festival" in Shanghai. In October 2015, Wolf Spider released a new LP "V," which received very positive reviews and was presented during "The Sense of... – the "V" Tour. In March 2024, Metal Mind Productions released the new album "VI." Currently, the band consists of: Piotr Mańkowski – guitar, Maciej Maciejewski – guitar, Mariusz Przybylski – bass, Beata Polak – drums, Jasiek Popławski – vocals, and this lineup will play the band's 40th anniversary tour. 22nd Birthday of Progresja 22 years on stage.
