About the event

MUSEUM FOR THE EVENING #2 | Who will catch your eye?

Think Valentine’s Day is already over? At the National Museum we have love stories every day. With us you'll check whether they all end happily. We invite couples, singles, friends, acquaintances. We will introduce you to the protagonists of our works and tell about their romantic dilemmas — maybe you will find your other half or a soulmate among them?

Join us! Museum for the Evening on the last Friday of every month.

PROGRAM:

  • 🕒 17:00–20:00
    Creative zone / Main Hall
We invite you to get creative in the craft zone, where we will make original pop-up cards. They can express love, friendship, gratitude… Patterns, instructions, lots of hearts and decorative materials are waiting for you.
  • Museum psychotest in a 90s style / Main Hall
At our stand take the psychotest and find out whether you are closer to the passionate and impulsive heart of Jacek Malczewski, the calm and cool Domicja Longina, or perhaps the prudent and romantic Stańczyk?
  • Draw your Valentine / Main Hall
Take part in a lottery and draw a character from a painting. Find them in the gallery and learn their love story with the help of MNW educators.
  • Q&A – ask about art / 19th-Century Art Gallery and Old Art Gallery
MNW educators will answer questions and recall love stories hidden in works of art. You will recognize them by badges that say ASK ME (19th-Century Art Gallery: rooms 104 and 105; Old Art Gallery: rooms 201, 202 and 210).
  • Music zone / Main Hall
Music selection by Basia Małecka – singer, artist and radio editor. A warm-up before Studio B-party.

Participation based on MNW admission ticket; you can join at any time; no prior registration required.

🕒 19:30 — Animated film screening: NIGHTMARE GIFTS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY
